Our last first day-of-the-year at Grey Lynn School!

Our last first day-of-the-year at Grey Lynn School was hot, sticky and full of fun! It went by real fast. What a great class Room 11 is going to be this year. Year Six is going to be pretty special.
We welcomed Felix to Grey Lynn School and he seemed to fit in really quickly. We watched George bounce and all the girls had a good gossipy chat about their holidays. We missed Sofia who will be back from Australia in a few weeks.
We talked about 'Relationships' which all our learning will be about this year and came up with some 'universal truths' about the nature of all relationships. Watch this space for more!
We caught up with the rest of the Totara Team and welcomed the Year 4's to the senior school. We thought they looked little.
We shared our preferred nicknames, as Ruth (our teacher) has a habit of calling us anything except our proper names. We started our first e-learning task on our four BRAND SPANKING NEW silver mac book pros (jealous?). You'll spot them being posted from tomorrow onwards.
New year, new class, new beginnings! Fun

  1. I really enjoyed reading your well written email, and thanks for making the start to the year a good one. I will look forward to visiting your room this year and watching how the school focus, 'relationships', effects your relationships with each other and the school.

Enjoy the weekend. And by the way you have a wonderful teacher so please look after Ruth.
