Archery by Luka

I could see the target and I was ready to fire the  bow. Then I shot the arrow at the target. I was wondering if I would get it in the board. I got it on the second try! I clicked the arrow on the bow. Then I shot. I could feel the arrow whizzing past my ear. The bad thing was that I missed one of my goes and only had two turns. I liked doing archery because I had never done it before and it was really fun.

The Hign Ropes by Kahma

Snap shot high rope

I looked down to find twenty two faces looking up at me,

I felt the wind brushing through my hair,

I felt my body shiver,

I saw my hands shaking,

I heard my heart thudding,

and I felt my chest pounding but,

after that I calmed, because I had done it!

I had crossed the high ropes!

Eli's achery training

I picked up the astonishing bow and as I pulled back the string, my fingers struggled and before I knew it-woosh,the arrow whizzed towards the target. BAM! Bullseye! I felt relief in my mind and happiness in my eyes. It felt like I was the champion of the world at achery.

Ruth's Camp Snapshot!

The High Ropes by Jake

I was fearless as I climbed across the rope. The line that I was holding onto was strong. The whistling wind wooshed through my hair. The belayer was saying, "You are the fastest yet!". It was a super awesome that I reached the end. Some other people were doing the high ropes.

Anouska's E.O.T.C story.

I could see the distorted bottoms of the kayaks popping up and down in the water above me. The light blue floor of the pool echoed in my mind as the sun pushed through the water. I could hear the swishing noise as the water thrusted against the side of the pool. The sound of my brain whizzing with excitement pushed through my mind. I felt my lungs screaming for air as I pushed frantically up towards the surface. Finally I am out from underneath the kayak.

E.O.T.C Week snapshot

I could see people falling out of the kayaks. People were zooming up the high ropes, their hearts were beating fast. Strong winds went speeding though my ears. I could hear water splashing up high in the sky from the pool. My heart was beating fast on the high ropes. I felt annoyed when I didn't get a bullseye.

Kayaking and Capsizing By Toby

I could see the clear, blue water, surrounding me everywhere.

The air bubbles were popping and bombarding the surface.

The urge was strong to get to the surface and it was hard to get there.

The flickering, blurry surface where I desired my presence was near.

Kayaks were rumbling on the concrete absolutely saturated of water.

The struggle to escape my capsized kayak was hard, as it trudged through the thousands of litres of water.

Fiji fishing by Oska

My heart riots against my ribs, silencing everything. The line races furiously through my hand, whizzing, making a blur, I wondered if it would ever stop? The fiber glass takes its turn to tease my feet, threatening to make me slip. Streaks of churning water and a fin replay in my head as I remember the happiness that blossomed through me as I saw the catch of the day, a skipjack!!!

E.O.T.C. snapshot by Hunter

The high up ropes jiggled gently as I strided along them. I heard my friends' intense screams echoing in my ears. I glanced at my friends relaxing under the shade. My teammates spluttered the five common words, "I want to get down!".
In the most emotional part of my heart, I felt pure terror driving me through the course of fear (in my words anyway). Eventually I made it!

Archey by Hannah

My hand was tired from pulling back the stiff, hard string. My heart zoomed through my chest when I shot for the target. My arrow flew from the string and slammed into the target board. As the camera flashed, I knew that there will be a picture of me holding a bow in my hands. My arrows kept mising the target. Over and under it went instead. People encouraged me and helped me feel like I could definitely do it. And finally I did.

EOTC by Josh

I could see the target when I aimed. The wind flowed on my face when I let the arrow fly out of my hand. The arrow clung to the side of the bow when I let it go. I could see the tip of the shinning arrow in the target. I could hear my friends saying good job.

EOTC snapshot By Will B

My foot hit the beam of the platform I was leaping too. I could see my hand flailing in the air as it came to rest on the carpentered wood. I wondered if I was going to make it. The wind was whistling and I could feel the vibration of my limbs thumping against the timber. All I could see was the platform waiting to meet me on the high ropes.

Archery by Jakob

I feel like I can't do it. The bow is too heavy. People are firing arrows all around me. I hear the arrow whistling in the air as I let it go. It clashes with the bull's eye. I put the heavy bow down and feel like I won one million dollars.

Laughing With My Friends By Livana

I saw Romy smiling at me.
Noshie was stamping the floor.

I felt a feeling I've never felt before!

There was giggling and a very loud "SHUSH!"

I love laughing with my friends.................. Especially after a tiring week of E.O.T.C. !

High ropes By Harrison

As I look, I see ropes connected to platforms swaying side to side. As they sway they also creak as people below are encouraging me to jump as far as I possibly can to the other tiny platform. As I leap across dramatically and land, I feel the platform shake as if it was trying to shake me off. I feel freaked out. The high ropes are scary.

Poem in my pocket by Kate

Today we had ....  POEMS IN YOUR POCKET DAY!!!
What we did was we put our limericks, or other types of poems, in the pockets of our jumpers or pants. Then suddenly we would pull it out and read to five people not in our own class and when a hand bell was rung. We then would go back to our classrooms and get back on with our work. Speaking of work I should get back to mine, bye.
