Alex's ferrari ride

On the weekend I went for a ride in a ferrari.
It was a two seater.
It was red.
It was a convertible.
I rode it with the roof off.
It had a v12 engine and it revved as loud as a lion. It sped like a jag.

Lamborghini gallordo By James

A flash of beauty comes zooming past with its engine roaring violently like a puma stalking its prey. Suddenly it shifts into 3rd gear and its matte black chassis is gone with its aerodynamic light weight carbon fibre body making it even faster. Screeching out of the quadruple exhaust pipes comes flaming nitrus making it two times faster. As the back wheels spin to a stop its engine purrs like a soft cat, echoing into the dark night.

A classroom full of children By Matthew

A small classroom overflows with children. The embarrassed teacher slowly chatters to the stern principal. The giggling children loudly talk to their classmates. The teacher ands principal stare in silence at the chattering class. Meanwhile all of the other classes were working silently.

A deserted beach

The  water lapped at the sun-kissed sand as seagulls screehed over head. The salty sea slooshed around like water in a bowl, even though it was very calm out to sea. Fish swim in circles and nibbled at the ocean floor, while sand floated over the soft dunes.

Sunk by Lotta

I'm woken up by a worried call  for everyone to get to the front deck.
I grab my shawl, wrap it around me and rush out to see what this palaver is all about. The barely          lit hall looms ahead but I do what the voice has told me to do and stream to get to the top deck like a few others. I can faintly hear the captain's demands and the doomed foot steps of the crew frantically    running around. When I am outside I can clearly tell what has happened, ice bergs are a fair distance      but just one has managed to dig itself into the boat's bow, we have officially hit an iceberg and are sinking. The cold howling wind brushes my face as I rush to the barrier to find the sea getting closer inch by inch, second by second. I'm too busy watching to realize that the flustered passengers threaten each just to get a place in a life boat. Thoughts flow through my mind, how is my family? What's happening in my home town? Then it hits me! Why am I just standing here!? I rush up to where the life boats are getting released, but I'm too late. All the life boats are gone. My only resort is to jump into    the cruel sea.
So that's what I do...

Bob's Bush Camp by Seko

As I twirled my pan with sizziling butter my stomach starts to rumble like a roaring dragon. The dough and flour between my fingers felt like slime moving all over. The heat of the fire made me feel like my head was stuck in a volcano. The scones tasted like melted gold. I licked my fingers and I drank my tea.

Sentence of the Day by Felix

Original sentence:
Tim ate a ham burger quickly.

Improved sentence (add an adverb, adjective, improve the verb and add another clause):
Tim hastily gobbled up the juicy hamburger as if he thought it would run away.

The newest Lamborghini by Shaan.

The newest Lamborghini is the Sesto Elemento. It has black go-faster stripes which makes the Sesto Elemento particularly fast. It has 750 zooming horsepower, a super-blitzing 6.5 litre V12 engine and can go a drifting speed of 225 miles per hour which is over 380 kilometers per hour. The seats are carbon-fibred red and don't look like the seats in a ordinary car. Inside it is made out of carbon-fibre and the alloy wheels are made from rich titanium. Everything inside is made out of carbon-fibre like the steering wheel, the seats, the blades (like in an Audi R8) and it has the biggest exhaust pipe ever. It costs $4 million dollars. The doors open up like someone jumping up slowly on a trampoline. It is only 600 kgs, the less weight it is, the faster it is. Richard Hammond drove it on a race track on a programme called "The Best of Top Gear'. I would scream with happiness if I was in it. By Shaan.

Sentence of the Day.

Sentence of the Day

Describe in detail: A deserted beach.

The beach was deserted, not a soul in sight. The seagulls screeching overhead was not the most pleasant of sounds, while the sound of the sea lapping against the white sun-kissed sand was peaceful.
The water is crisp and fresh, as though you were taking a dip in freezing cold water then jumping in a hot spa.

Bob's Bush Camp By Hannah

My stomach groans even more as I hear the constant sound of Mr Hawthorn bellowing.  I wait in front of the burning fire listening to the butter sizzling. The aroma wafts up my nose and the sound of Lotta roaring, "Scones, scones! Come and try these delicious scones," echoed through my ears. Slowly I smattered the scones with butter and jam and popped them into my mouth. The soft texture soothed my dried mouth. Smoke heats up my face as I take a quick glance at my own scones and they are perfectly golden brown. YAY!

Lamborghini by Jake

The shiny silver paint hurts my eyes as it speeds past at what seems to be the same speed as a pentergren falcon at 320 KMH. The V shaped front pierces though the air as it screeches to a halt.  The doors whirr open like wings of a pentergren falcon. The lights stare at the tar like the eyes of a bird of prey.

The Evil Scientist by Luka

I followed the evil scientist into a dark room. He drunk a potion and then poof! He turned into ninja. He had two swords, lots of shurikens and a bow and arrow. He chased me out of the room waving his swords in the in the air. Then he stopped and and drunk another potion and turned into a crazy toad. I laughed but it shot poison. I dodged it then I jumped on it. Squish! It was gone. The end

Bob's Bush Camp By Cassie

On Tuesday the 1st of April Room 9 went to Bob's Bush Camp. Once we got there we got into groups and all went to our activities. My group's first activity was cooking. We split our group into 3s. In my group I got to do the cooking and Kaia and Holly made the fires. It was a hard time for them. We were making scones. They where delicious and we got to have tea. Our second activity was making the tripods to make a bivouac to stay the night. It was very hard. Our last activity was sawing with the pit saw and a two person saw. It was very very hard. I had a great time. Enjoy my movie!   By Cassie

A classroom full of children by Lotta

Lotta from Room 11 on Vimeo.

The chatter rages on about the presenters 'big-new-thing' as the stern teacher starts to get flustered. The children playing outside make a tsunami of giggles meanwhile the bell chimes and it's a race to get out to the play ground first. Unfortunately the astonished principal keeps the class hostage after looking through the window and getting a glimpse of the palaver inside the manic classroom. The careless children's stomaches groan with hunger and only one though goes through their mind...
"Get us go all ready!"

A Classroom Full Of Children By Toby

Shrieks of hysterical laughter harass the irascible yet sensible children doing exquisite work.

The fuming teacher gives a seriously stern look to the immature group of children, who start to feel nauseous from the nerve-racking thought of what cruel, terrible punishment will behold painstaking torture to them next lunchtime.

A brilliant student kindly and gracefully accepts some well earned free time.

Immense surprise rises as the principal strolls past, and is stopped in his tracks as  the booming sound waves of childrens' chatter pounds like a hammer in his ears. Immediately, as if he has rabies,  he recklessly swoops open the door, and gives the evil eye to the infuriating Room 25...

Bob's Bush Camp By Matthew

On Tuesday 1st April Room 9 went to Bob's Bush Camp. When we first arrived we had to go into a special classroom where we were told what we would do. Then we had to dump our bags in the classroom and replace it with a kit and caboodle. Then we had a ten minute morning tea break. After the morning tea break we went down into the Bush

On our way down we bumped into a worker called Mrs Gibbons that kindly led us down to Bob's Bush Camp.
There was a massive green canvas that made some shelter and under it was six big fat logs that were used for seats. Mr Hawthorne told us to take a seat, after he welcomed us to Bobs bush camp. Then he told us that we would be learning: how to get a bogey up the hill with a heavy log on it, how to use a pit saw and a cross cut saw,  and how to cook gridle scones on a camp fire. We also leant  how to build a shelter out of a canvas with six sticks and four pieces of rope.
