The earth rumbles underneath me like a 4.5 magnitude earthquake. I hear the wind howling like a wolf calling for its family. Before me is a slimy staircase and I begin to wonder where it leads. The rain pours down around me while it fills up my mouth. The smell of rotting leaves wafts up my nose. I feel scared. By Jakob.

The girl with hair like flames by Poppy
If you go down main street, follow all the signs. Go left then right, and you'll find yourself at the start of Gooseberry Lane. Down at the bottom of the lane there is a huge house, covered in thick green ivy.
In the attic a of that house there lives girl called Paige, Paige was ten years old. She was known for her hair, which is the colour of flames.
Sometimes you can see her sitting in her room looking out the window, her green eyes piercing through you. She is the black sheep of the family, her mum, dad, brother and sister all had black hair.
Her dad had banished her to the attic when she was 7 years old because she had red hair, her dad called her mean things like a "freak of nature".
Because of all the time she spent alone she had never made a friend, but sometimes she swears she can see a boy about her age across the street in a attic, with hair like flames.
Sometimes she waves, but he never waves back, every day she wakes up and looks out her window, hoping to see the boy with hair like flames.

One person who I would like to meet in history By Anouska
One person who I would like to meet in history would be Tutankhamun. What was it like to be the king and rule all of Egypt and the young age of 9? I would love to have servants put my dishes away for me! Or what about doing your homework for you! It would be wonderful if you could ban having to eat over-cooked, slimey brussel sprouts across the whole nation! Everyone could munch on sweet cake instead. How wonderful the world would be?!
Anyway... You could have a king sized bed. You could eat anything you wanted! Now, of course it was dangerously hot in Egypt so he should have got his servants to make a pool and collect the water from the river Nile!
I wouldn't be good and ruling all that dust covered land, I just don't like bossing people around... except my sister.

Wolf Teeth Part One by Kaia
Tracy's cold hands reached out so far that they leaned over the edge of the ragged bed. Hurriedly Beackmore leaned over and pushed her daughter's hands back onto the moth-eaten sheets.
"I need to find him," panted Tracy her ash grey face staring into Beackmore's steady green eyes.
"Your father's dead" Beackmore replied firmly, "You can't risk going out there again. The wolves'll eat you and I can't lose another family member."
Tracy was firm about this but Beackmore wouldn't let her go. Tracy raised her body so that her face was level with Beackmore's.
"Dad's not dead I know" said she.
"But nobody could survive in 'that place'," protested Beackmore.
"Well he could survive unless Orange abandoned him," Tracy replied.

The first few days at school
The first day of school was great, like every other past year basic curriculum was not included in the day. We had fitness in the middle of the day and we are starting a new routine of doing so. This week we have the C.O.W. (Computer On Wheels) so for the first day we did E-learning. For E-learning we are drawing (with Kidpix) a self portrait.
On the second day we did E-learning, started our maths and had assembly. This term for maths our subject is statistics and probability. Later that afternoon two ladies, Merin and Erin performed a play about cyber bullies ,the many ways thay can bully you and what you can do to stop getting bullied.
Today the patrollers trained to refresh their memory from last years training. Our classroom then went to the forest to play and look around.

We then did some more maths on probability. After we finished maths and reading we read a chapter of our class book the Cay which is written by Theodre Taylor. The book is about a boy called Phillip who lives in the Carribean and leaves to go to America with his mother but got torpedoed and was saved by a black man who helps him survive with his amazing survival and crafting skill. We then did fitness E-learning and social studies.
