On Tuesday 1st April Room 9 went to Bob's Bush Camp. When we first arrived we had to go into a special classroom where we were told what we would do. Then we had to dump our bags in the classroom and replace it with a kit and caboodle. Then we had a ten minute morning tea break. After the morning tea break we went down into the Bush.
On our way down we bumped into a worker called Mrs Gibbons that kindly led us down to Bob's Bush Camp.
There was a massive green canvas that made some shelter and under it was six big fat logs that were used for seats. Mr Hawthorne told us to take a seat, after he welcomed us to Bobs bush camp. Then he told us that we would be learning: how to get a bogey up the hill with a heavy log on it, how to use a pit saw and a cross cut saw, and how to cook gridle scones on a camp fire. We also leant how to build a shelter out of a canvas with six sticks and four pieces of rope.
