Otto, David-Ray and Maxi's egyptian project

We were given a task to make an ICT presentation on Egypt. It was really hard to choose a interesting topic. Eventually we agreed on how to make a mummy. We found out some very interesting facts such as they covered the body in natron salt (hydrated soda ash) and they tied the toenails and finger nails so they don't fall off and get lost in the salt. Here is our finished result hope you enjoy.

My Homework Project

In room 11 we all did a homework project about Ancient Egypt. I chose to do my project on Ancient Egyptian fashion and beauty. We had to do it in three weeks. We brought our projects to school to show everyone what we learnt. We all presented our work in a very unique and creative way. I presented my work as a life sized dress and wrote all of my facts on the flaps that were on my dress. When we shared our projects we put a comment sheet on our desk next to it and we would walk around the classroom and comment on each other's project. I got six comments and those six comments were:

-Hi Olivia, your project was well presented and the facts were interesting. From Emma.

-Livi, your dress is a very, very cool way to present your facts on Egypt's fashion. With the flaps you can open it makes the dress stand out. Well done Livi. From Jennifer.

-Hi Olivia, very smart idea. You have thought outside the box. From Anton.

-Hi Olivia, I love the way you presented you project, it looks amazing. From Annabella.

-Olivia, you have done some excellent research into Egyptian clothes and makeup. Well done. From Ruth.

-Olivia I thought your project was really original and I didn't know any of the facts. From Emily.

Egypt Medicine By Madeline

A few weeks ago, Room 11 were given a homework project about Egypt. We needed to find information on a topic about Egypt, in 3 weeks. Some people had chosen topics like, Mummies, Pyramids, Fashion, Egyptian gods etc. My topic was, ' Egyptian Medicine.'
I displayed it in two ways. The first way, was displayed like flyers. I had three main topics in the one flyer. The first topic was, " Weird Remedies." Second, was, " 'A' Jar ",  Which was a home remedy for cuts, and grazes. And my last was, " Interesting.." Which was the most interesting remedies, in Egypt.
All the flyers were displayed in a flyer display (which I borrowed from my auntie).
The second way I displayed my learning was, a taste tester. As seen in the first picture, I had a crystal cup-thingy, filled with, a red substance. Which was a replica of bats blood. In egypt, the acient Egyptians thought that Bats blood would cure your eyesight, because bats have good eyesight. I have no idea why they used the blood though. The 'Batsblod' was actually, water, with red food colouring, and a bit if jelly crystals, to make the water thicker. And it really only tasted like really waterey juice!

Emma and Ruby's Egyptian project

In our reading group, the Sentence Spies, we have been researching about Egypt in books from the library. We learnt things we never knew. For example Egyptians gave giraffe and zebras tails for presents. It was really fun because we got to know each other more even though it took a long time. We both got to see each others angry side.

Egyptian homework By Jaime

Hi people.

Today im going to tell you about my homework and how I made it.
Firstily I had to pick an Egyptian topic out of:
writing
magic + medicine
fashion [clothes]
people
pyramids

And lots more topics.

I picked writing the reason why I picked writing was because it is interesting and weird.
When I got home...I did not do my home work. The next day I did not do my homework. The next day I did not not do my homework and so on.
"MUM MY HOMEWORK HAS TO BE HANDED IN 3 DAYS AND I HAVE ONLY DONE MY PLAN!!!!!!!!!"
My mum replied saying, "Then hurry up". I rushed over to the computer and started typing to make my question cards.
Then my dad told me that he had finished making my pyramid. "YES!" I said to myself.
Finally it was finished I printed out my question cards and put them in a little bag.

Now I'm going to tell you how my homework works. It is a board game and this is the aim of the game: first one to the top. If you land on a green spot you have to answer one of the quistion cards if you get it wrong you have to go back to the closest coner but if you get it correct you roll again.

My Egyptian Project By Otto

Four weeks ago we were given a task to make an amazing Egyptian project. We had to choose from Gods and Goddesses, Mummies (which was very scary), Egyptian myths, Famous Pharaohs, The Nile,  Magic and Medicine, Writing, Food and Drink, Toys and Games, Beauty and Fashion, The Pyramids and home life. We were marked out of 20. Straight away I knew that I was going to do the pyramids. I was very pleased with the outcome. The pyramids are velcroed on so you can remove them. Be Yourself By room 11

In room 11 we have created a list of good ways to be noticed and bad ways to be noticed. In table groups we discussed the good and bad ways. After that we summarized the things that we wrote and put it into a chart. Here are some of our ideas about the good and bad ways to be noticed.
